Chapter 1083: I Remember Now
Chapter 1083: I Remember Now
"Ah, these people used me to threaten my dad just now." Lucy Wells casually asked but thought of something more important and shook Kai Bright’s arm."I’ll call Uncle." Sophie Wilson said.
As she spoke, she already took out her phone and called Jerry Taylor: "Uncle, it’s okay now, Lucy is safe. I’ll let Lucy say a few words to you."
Sophie Wilson handed the phone to Lucy Wells, letting her reassure Jerry Taylor, while she turned around to check the situation inside the room with Charles Seymour, looking for clues about the background of these people.
Sophie Wilson searched the bodies of those people and suddenly froze.
A thud made Charles Seymour turn in surprise, just in time to see Sophie Wilson slump to the ground, scaring him as he quickly rushed to her side, checked her breathing, steady, seemingly fainted.
Charles Seymour held Sophie Wilson and looked around the situation, noticing the nearest kidnapper, squinting his eyes.
"What happened to Sophie?" Lucy Wells and Kai Bright asked simultaneously.
"It’s fine, I’ll take her back first, you handle things here." Charles Seymour carried Sophie Wilson and left after instructing Kai Bright.
"What’s wrong with Sophie?" Lucy Wells asked worriedly.
"It’s okay." Kai Bright said confidently, "If something was wrong, Charles would have told us."
Now they couldn’t leave here, they had to wait for the police to come and handle the situation.
Kellan Blake stood quietly to the side, now having no desire to compete with Kai Bright over Lucy.
Not to mention Kai Bright and Charles Seymour, even Sophie Wilson’s skills just now were more agile than his, causing him to seriously doubt his own abilities.
Soon, the police arrived, and all those kidnappers were escorted into the police cars. As the person involved, Lucy Wells naturally had to go and get her statement taken.
That night, Sophie Wilson developed a high fever, Charles Seymour stayed by her bedside all night, constantly wiping her sweat.
Sophie Wilson slept uneasily, whispering softly in her dreams, while Charles Seymour stayed by her side, holding her hand, gently comforting her.
The warm sunshine was upon her, making Sophie Wilson so comfortable that she didn’t want to move, just wanted to lazily lie in bed and not get up.
Turning over, she clearly felt her hand being held tightly, Sophie Wilson instinctively opened her eyes, meeting a pair of dark eyes.
Eyes deeply colored, mixed with heartache like shattered stars, making Sophie Wilson’s heart clench, driving away all the lingering sleepiness.
"Have some water." Charles Seymour took the cup from the bedside table and brought it in front of Sophie Wilson.
Sophie Wilson smiled, sat up, and held the cup to drink the water.
The temperature of the water in the cup was just right, with a faint sweetness, honey was added.
Sweet and slightly moistening Sophie Wilson’s dry throat, she drank the entire cup of water in one go.
"Sleep a bit more, or eat something?" Charles Seymour asked.
Sophie Wilson smiled and spoke five words, instantly freezing Charles Seymour’s hand mid-action as he was about to put the cup down: "I remember now."
Charles Seymour suppressed his arm with effort, placing the cup on the table instead of smashing it, then calmly asking: "You remember everything?"
"Yes." Sophie Wilson nodded happily, her eyes curved like a crescent moon, "I remember everything, including everything about you and me."
