Chapter 1315 - 1310: Only by Living With That Bitch Can I Torment Her
Chapter 1315 - 1310: Only by Living With That Bitch Can I Torment Her
Nicholas Croft was even more perplexed and nodded, "I understand, and everyone present is aware."Hannah Hargrave...
It was like punching cotton; he knew she didn’t mean what she was trying to express.
Not wanting to be laughed at by the others, Hannah Hargrave attempted one last effort, standing up again to righteously accuse, "Aren’t you worried about being photographed by the media and then having it wildly sensationalized?"
"It doesn’t matter; it’s going to be publicly announced sooner or later anyway. If we’re photographed, it saves us the trouble of hosting another press conference," Nicholas Croft said innocently. After speaking, he lowered his eyes and affectionately pinched Sophie Foster’s nose.
Hannah Hargrave...
If it weren’t for her hands pressing on the table for support, she would have already lost her balance, trembling with teeth chattering.
Sophie Foster opened her arms to Nicholas Croft, "High heels are so tiring, my feet are sore."
"Daddy will carry you to the mall." Nicholas Croft bent down to lift Sophie Foster in a princess carry and walked out in large strides under everyone’s gazes.
Sophie Foster stared at Hannah Hargrave, her lips curling into a cold smirk.
"Ah, it seems I’m really getting old, can’t keep up with the trends."
Josephine Hawthorne sighed once more, everyone could tell he was stirring the pot.
He stood up and turned to Hannah Hargrave, "Hannah, would you still like to join me?"
Hannah Hargrave...
Suddenly turned around and glared at him angrily without responding.
Nicholas Croft held Sophie Foster and entered the elevator. As it descended, he didn’t put her down, lowered his gaze, and asked, "Baby, did Daddy make you feel better just now?"
Sophie Foster regained her cold demeanor, gritting her teeth, "I will make her wish she were dead!"
"You will,"
The calm two words were Nicholas Croft’s firm assurance.
They went to the mall with Sophie Foster and bought a lot of clothes. Perhaps due to exhaustion, after returning home, Sophie Foster fell asleep in the hammock chair.
Nicholas Croft gently placed her on the bed, then walked out of the bedroom with his phone.
He called Tom’s assistant, telling him to bring health supplements to the Hargrave Family to visit Henry Hargrave. Initially, he planned to go personally but was worried Josephine Hawthorne would guard against him.
Hannah Hargrave said that Sophie Foster was a swapped child, and only by obtaining Henry Hargrave’s hair for a DNA test would the truth be revealed.
Before dinner, Hannah Hargrave repeatedly called, unsurprisingly starting with a righteous interrogation.
"Nicholas Croft, we are legally married; the way you treated me in front of Josephine and Evander, how can I hold my head up in the future?"
Compared to Hannah Hargrave’s agitated mood, Nicholas Croft seemed indifferent, standing by the window with one hand in his lounge pants pocket, calmly saying, "Don’t make it sound so unpleasant; haven’t I explained it clearly today? The baby is my recognized Goddaughter, and I will announce it to the media as such."
"You!" Hannah Hargrave was so angry she was speechless, her obvious breathing audible even through the phone, thinking of that big "daughter" calling her Godmother felt awkward.
"Do you plan to live with that vixen for the rest of your life? Nicholas Croft, I’m your wife, you returned to City T but lived with that vixen, do you never plan to come home again?"
"Home?" Nicholas Croft slowly asked in return, then chuckled and said, "After Baby and I get tired of living outside, then we’ll go back. Okay, it’s about time; we have to take Baby to a dinner party with some brothers later, won’t chat anymore. We’ll talk later if something comes up."
As soon as Nicholas Croft hung up, Sophie Foster’s voice sounded behind him, like a ghost, wearing a nightgown and letting her hair down. Nicholas Croft didn’t know when she stood behind him.
"Hannah Hargrave wants you to go back?" Sophie Foster coldly asked, her icy face revealing no hint of anger.
Nicholas Croft subconsciously licked his lips, "Baby, Daddy won’t go back; Daddy will always stay..."
"Why not go back? That’s my home!" Sophie Foster said firmly.
Nicholas Croft paused, reached to hold her wrist, asking, "Does Baby want to go back? But you don’t like seeing her."
"Hmph!" A cold laugh, something flickered in Sophie Foster’s eyes, she wasn’t looking at Nicholas Croft, instead gazed out the window, tightened her eyes slightly, and said word by word, "Living with a bitch provides the opportunity to torment her!"
Nicholas Croft...
At this moment, he saw determination in Sophie Foster’s eyes, if it could make Hannah Hargrave jealous to madness... maybe that could count as a punishment, then supportively held Sophie Foster’s shoulder to seriously ask.
"Baby is sure about wanting to go back home?"
"Yes!" Sophie Foster replied determinedly.
"Alright, we’ll move back to the villa tomorrow."
...
In the evening, Nathan Moore hosted a dinner to welcome Nicholas Croft.
All three brothers brought their women, Sophia Hamilton was already showing, wearing maternity trousers with suspenders, Evander Lancaster worried about her catching cold, insisted she wear a thick coat.
Seeing Sophia Hamilton’s belly slightly curved, Titus Zane was even more envious, cast a resentful glance at Nathan Moore, as if silently blaming him for his inadequacy.
When Nicholas Croft walked in with Sophie Foster, it truly shocked everyone, holding Sophie’s hand just stepping into the private room, she glanced at everyone inside, turned to leave, but was pulled back by Nicholas Croft.
"Baby, didn’t we agree to have a meal with the uncles when we came, after the meal we’ll go home."
Titus Zane and Mia Foster looked at each other, bewildered.
Even though Sophia Hamilton joined later in the group, she knew Nicholas Croft had a family, and now seeing him low-key coaxing a girl, suddenly frowned, her impression of him greatly diminished.
Among the brothers, Evander Lancaster was best at setting the mood, stood up and approached with a smile, "What’s wrong? Little beauty, are you sulking? Were the uncles too handsome and scared you?"
Sophie Foster had been insisting on leaving, but hearing Evander Lancaster’s teasing, she suddenly stopped struggling, looked at him, her chilly face showing no more emotions.
Having been ignored, Evander Lancaster didn’t feel awkward, continued smiling, "Come sit, no outsiders here."
Sophie Foster was dragged to the dining table by Nicholas Croft, looking very unwilling and aloof.
Titus Zane couldn’t stand Nicholas Croft treating another woman like this, in his memory he was passionate and devoted to Sophie Foster, now she had just left, yet he switched to a new love, an ordinary artificial beauty at that.
Annoyed, he muttered to himself, "Quite a temper."
Titus Zane’s voice wasn’t loud, but everyone at the dining table could hear clearly.
"Brother, look, everyone’s waiting for you, my wife’s hungry and unhappy." Nathan Moore cherished his wife, wouldn’t say a harsh word, but on this side was his brother, so could only let it pass like this.
Evander Lancaster secretly glanced at Sophie Foster’s reaction, laughing to diffuse tension, "Yeah, my wife’s been protesting from hunger long ago."
