Chapter 136: Two Dual Personalities

Chapter 136: Two Dual Personalities

In the afternoon, just as Raiden was getting bored sitting alone in bed and playing with Neva, he welcomed another visitor, this time a special one.

A small blonde woman walked into the room with a serene smile on her face. Wearing a white robe, she was surrounded by a glow of light. Standing at 5 ft 3, the woman didn’t have a commanding presence, but somehow she still managed to attract all attention wherever she walked.

"What are you staring at, dude?! Greet the saintess properly!!" The same doctor who had been there last night walked into the room, making Raiden twitch his lips. He had guessed who this person was by now.

"Greetings, Holy Saint. Thank you for making time out of your busy schedule to come and take a look." Raiden greeted her with a smile, making one appear on her face, and she waved her hands with a blush.

"No, no, no. It’s my duty, don’t worry about it. Besides, Miss Isadora herself called me and asked me to come over to heal you. I am greatly indebted to her. There is no way I can reject her request."

The girl walked towards Raiden’s bed with small footsteps, looking curiously at him, the guy who is rumoured to be the son-in-law of the Solaris clan. The rumours spread fast in the military base, and she wasn’t above listening to them as her gossipy heart burned to hear more details about it.

"Miss Saint, are you okay?" Raiden’s voice rang out in the room, snapping her out of her stupor as she realised she was staring at him, making her blush a little.

"I-I was just checking for injuries on your body. Don’t worry, we will begin now." A serious expression appeared on her small face as her body started shining golden. A magic circle appeared beneath her feet as a long magical staff, carved from materials Raiden could not name, emerged from it.

A small golden bird appeared on her shoulder as well, making the whole room bathed in golden glow.

"Sha Sha!!" Neva stared at this in wonder. She felt very much at ease under this divine energy as she closed her eyes in comfort.

Raiden, meanwhile, had his eyes widened due to a different reason. A summoning of the staff and standing there glittering, reminded Raiden of a different thing from his past world entirely.

"A Magical Girl?!" He blurted out in shock before realising what he had just said and clamping his hand over his mouth.

"I-I am not a magical girl, okay?! I need this staff for treatment! Now stay still, or I will not treat you anymore. Humph!" Holy Saint pouted a little in response, as she blushed, before lifting the staff above her head.

"Light of Genesis!!"

"Chiirrpp!!"

Both her golden bird Terra Beast and the girl cried out as a light shimmered down on top of Raiden’s and Neva’s bodies.

Immediately, Raiden started to feel the difference as his body started to feel comfortable rapidly, and he started to regain movement in his leg and right hand. He had to hold himself back from moaning out due to sheer comfort.

"Shaaaaaaaaa~"

Neva had no such concerns though, as she let out an extremely comfortable sound. The golden light that fell on top of her was immediately absorbed into her body, turning into her power as it flowed through her. She rapidly found herself getting strengthened by the light as her base power improved every second.

Just ten seconds later, Raiden felt all injuries on his body heal completely, but Neva still hadn’t stopped absorbing the light that was falling on top of her. The Holy Saint noticed this as well, so she didn’t stop the treatment, keeping it going for a little longer until Neva couldn’t absorb any more light and fell asleep.

"Shaa Shaa...." Seeing the smile on the sleeping spider’s face, a heartfelt smile appeared on Raiden’s face as well.

"Thank you for helping her."

"It’s fine. I must say, though, you have a really special Terra Beast. Never seen anyone like her." The Saintess peered curiously at Neva, who was sleeping in Raiden’s lap. She felt a holy aura coming off the spider, which somehow put pressure on her and her Terran, like she was facing some kind of bloodline suppression from a superior Terra Beast.

"Yes. Neva is pretty special. She is like family to me." Raiden patted her head with a smile.

"Well, I guess my job is done here. It was nice to meet you, Raiden. May we meet again." The Holy Saint smiled as she started moving away from the bedside.

"Wait!! Can you please take a look at Woolie as well?? He is my other partner, and he hasn’t woken up in three weeks." Raiden called out in a hurry.

Hearing his words, the Saintess had stopped in her tracks and turned around, looking at the adorable sheep that was sleeping on the side. If one looked at him from afar, it would look like he was just sleeping peacefully, but she noticed something else that was wrong with him.

With a wave of her hand, a golden light fell on top of his body too, as his breathing grew more and more even and his muscles started to relax. In just a few seconds, Woolie’s body started to glow with health, and the strong wave of fluctuations rolled off his body.

But the expression on the Holy Saint’s face became even more stern as she put even more power into it. By now, even Raiden noticed that something was wrong with the situation.

After channelling her power for two minutes straight, the Saintess’ face went pale all of a sudden as she fell on her knees.

"Holy Saint!! Are you okay?!" The doctor rushed towards her frantically, checking her body with worry in his eyes.

"I am okay, just a little tired." She waved him away with a hand before turning towards Raiden with an apologetic expression on her face.

"I am sorry. I wasn’t able to cure him completely. There is a very unique problem with him. He has gone into deep sleep, and it feels like there are two distinct or different personalities that are fighting over the domination inside his body. I have never seen anything like it." She explained with a patient expression on her face.

"Huh?! What do you mean by that?!" Raiden stood up from his bed in shock after hearing this.

"I don’t know myself, but this is what it felt like, as if there were two people inside his head. I am sorry, I couldn’t be of more help. Please contact me through Isadora if you need any more help in the future. I’ll be going for now." The Saintess stood up with the help of her magical stick and walked out of the room before Raiden could say anything.

"Wait!! I—" Raiden ran after her to ask more questions, only to find an empty corridor outside.

"Two personalities?! What does it even mean??" Raiden muttered under his breath as he made his way towards sleeping Woolie, worry etched all over his face.

"Wake up soon, buddy. I’ll do my best to help you."
