Chapter 1179: The Nightmare Continues

Chapter 1179: The Nightmare Continues

"Me?" Stella curled her lips in a self-mocking smile, "I don’t have any outstanding suitors, most men don’t like someone like me."Anthony was a bit stunned, as if surprised, raising one eyebrow, "Why?"

Stella reached out to touch her own face, pinched her waist, and mocked herself again, "Because I’m not pretty enough, not attractive and hot-bodied, and my temper is terrible. Tell me, would any man like a woman like this?"

She was only jesting at herself, but Anthony seriously contemplated the matter, his blue eyes fixed intently on her. He stared at her for so long that even Scarlett felt the atmosphere was somewhat strange. Only then did Anthony solemnly say, "Miss Nelson is good."

Stella thought, as a gentleman, he would compliment her a lot to comfort her, but unexpectedly, Anthony’s compliment was just one sentence.

But that one sentence felt incredibly sincere to Stella, far more genuine than his previous endless praise.

He said it with great seriousness.

Stella was stunned for a moment, then a radiant curve appeared on her lips, she smiled openly, "Thank you, Mr. Anthony."

Anthony was still looking at her, something seemed to shimmer in his clear blue eyes. After a pause, he reiterated emphatically, "Miss Nelson is truly good."

--

After eating and drinking to their fill, the hospitable Anthony couldn’t wait to take them out to have fun everywhere. But after a ten-hour flight, everyone was a bit tired. After eating, they returned to their respective rooms to rest.

Scarlett was also extremely exhausted.

The weather in Y Country was just right, the sun was warm on the body, basking in it made one sleepy.

The big white bed was unbelievably soft, lying down felt like sinking into a mass of cotton, the whole person enveloped by this softness.

The sheets and blankets had a lovely scent of sunlight, Scarlett took a bath and lay in bed clean and fresh, letting that lazy sunlight from outside fall on her body.

Outside the window was a lilac tree, with a few sparrows perched on it, chirping and occasionally fluttering their wings, their calls joyful, as if they too were enjoying the warmth the sunshine brought.

Blue skies, white clouds, bright sunshine, chirping birds and blooming flowers, everything was so beautiful.

She lay on the bed for a while, her eyelids growing heavy, and before she knew it, she fell asleep.

This sleep was not peaceful for Scarlett.

She had nightmares again, this time still related to Matthew Saxon, watching it all like a movie, without being part of it.

She dreamed that Matthew Saxon died at the hands of Maxwell Saxon.

Upon arriving in A Country, as soon as he got off the plane, a group of Blackwear Locale surrounded him from nowhere.

The Blackwear Locale held guns, all aiming their dark barrels directly at Matthew Saxon.

Bang bang bang—

The sound of gunfire was like firecrackers, ringing continuously.

And in the moment the gunfire ceased, Matthew Saxon was shot multiple times, half his body turned into a beehive.

Blood flowed out from those dozen or so bullet holes, instantly dyeing him into a Bloodman.

His face turned paper-white instantly, his body swayed twice, then fell into a pool of blood...

More and more blood flowed from his wounds, like a breached flood, in an instant, the ground he lay on was wholly stained red with blood.
