Chapter 1178: Young Madam Saxon Truly Has Great Influence
"To be pampered so meticulously, I’d be willing to become a horse in my next life."Scarlett Yates wholeheartedly agreed with this sentiment.
Being treated like a lord, even as a horse, is indeed more comfortable than being a human.
At the very least, the carefree aspect is something humans can’t match.
To welcome them, lunch was incredibly lavish.
The long white dining table was filled with delicious dishes, with at least thirty or forty courses aligned in rows.
Every dish was exquisitely crafted, resembling works of art, and made people reluctant to eat them.
Scarlett, having stayed at the Saxon Family for a time and experienced their luxury, wasn’t overly surprised when faced with a table full of food.
Stella Nelson was dumbfounded, tugging on Scarlett’s sleeve and whispering in her ear, "Scarlett, how many people are eating lunch today?"
"Four, you, me, George, and Mr. Anthony."
"Four people?" Stella’s eyes widened further, swallowing hard and exclaiming in a low voice, "How can the four of us finish so much? Isn’t this just too wasteful? Is this how the wealthy live, so extravagant?"
After thinking for a moment, Scarlett also lowered her voice and said slowly, "We are guests, this is also a way to show respect for us."
Stella looked up at her, chuckling, "Indeed, our Young Madam Saxon truly has some influence. Being with you, I’ve gained quite a bit of benefit; this visit is truly worthwhile. You know, I’ve even dreamed about having the opportunity to visit Downton Manor, and now my wish has come true. Tell me, am I not dreaming?"
Hollywood filmed a movie once, the director was a friend of Anthony’s and borrowed his manor for several scenes.
Stella had watched it, and during the viewing, she was captivated by the scenery of Downton Manor.
"What are Miss Nelson and Miss Yates discussing? You look so happy. May I have the honor to share in your little secret?"
After removing his coat, Anthony was wearing a red and blue plaid cashmere vest and a white shirt underneath, looking very fresh; his handsome and charming face carried a slight smile, and his alluring blue eyes gazed at Stella, the clarity and purity of the blue resembling an ocean.
Stella was momentarily stunned but soon turned to look at him, locking eyes for a moment before her lips slowly curved into a playful grin, tilting her head slightly, "We were just talking about Mr. Anthony."
"Oh? Talking about me?" Amused by the conversation, Anthony’s clear blue eyes revealed a smile as his enticingly thin lips curled, "I wonder what two lovely ladies have to say about me?"
Stella fixed her gaze on him, her eyes moving slowly from his forehead down to his beautifully curved chin, blinking as she smiled, "Mr. Anthony is very handsome, like the prince every woman has fantasized about. Is it easy for women who meet you to fall in love with you at first sight?"
Anthony was taken aback, his face actually turning a bit red.
His skin was fair, so even the faintest blush was visible on his handsome face.
Perhaps he had never been praised so directly by a woman; initially confident and poised, he now appeared a bit shy, his gaze flickering before he looked back at Stella, commenting somewhat bashfully, "Miss Nelson is very cute too; certainly, many outstanding gentlemen must be pursuing a girl as adorable as you."
